Welcome to Guerrilla Survivor. Here, Domestic Abuse Survivors write, share stories, share experiences, vent, resource, and #tell what has happened.
Domestic Abuse thrives because of silence. Each of us has so much to offer and tell, however, we are silenced and disempowered by our families, former friends, employers, and the State. Despite all conventional knowledge, the State empowers abusers to harm, kill, and destroy mothers and children (+ protective parents who don’t identify as “mother”) through the police, courts and legal system. Governments around the world, including “first world” nations and “democratic” states, participate in this empowerment of abuse and harm–there is very little justice, and unfortunately, can be no faith in “the system.” It absolutely must change: and #tell-ing is crucial.
Domestic Abuse Survivors live under a terrorist regime. Abuse does not end “once they leave their abuser.” It destroys good, loving people who are working to bring help and kindness to their families to their world, takes advantage of them, and entraps them in servitude for life. It is- truly- killing our future as our children suffer and become damaged because of this injustice. These criminals must be exposed, treated for mental illness, and in some cases imprisoned; instead, they are enabled and rewarded and let to continue. Domestic Abuse Survivors need spaces to #tell, speak safely, and band together to bring justice to a world that -quite literally- is killing it’s own women and children who are needed to continue life.
